On September 13, 2015, the Easton Volunteers hosted a Live Fire Training Drill in a house on Chapel Road that was going to be torn down by the land owner. The training was used to accurately duplicate conditions as they would be experienced in real life conditions. Firefighters from Cordova VFA, Tilghman VFD, Preston VFC, Grasonville VFD and Hurlock VFC also took part in this training excersize. After the structure was stress to it’s limits under allowable training conditions, the fire was allowed to spread through out the structure and burn to the ground under controlled conditions.
