June 4, 2010 Rescue Box 6-8

At approximatly 17:00 Talbot Center dispatched EVFD and Paramedic 93 for an MVC at Rt. 50 and Landing Neck Road in the 6-8 box. EMS 1 arrived reporting 3 vehicles, an additional Paramedic unit was also requested. Chief 61 (Holland) arrived and established command. As Engine 68 and Rescue 61 were responding a 3rd Paramedic unit was requested due to multiple patients. An additional unit was requested from Station 30 for manpower. Engine 68 and Rescue 61 arrived, stabilized a mini van involved and removed the roof so 2 patients could be extricated. Rescue 32 arrived and assisted in patient care. Units worked for about 45 minutes before clearing the scene and a total of 6 patients were transported to EMH.
