May 8, 2010 At about 15:30, shortly after a Red Flag Warning was issued, Talbot Center dispatched Easton (60) and St. Michaels (40) for a brush fire at North Easton Park in the 6-0 Box. Chief 60 (Chance) arrived and reported heavy smoke along Rails to Trails at the Park. He then instructed Engine 65 to try and access the fire from Mulberry Hill Apts. and Brush 69 to access from the Park. Brush 66 arrived and assisted Brush 69 from the Park side and Engine 63 assisted 65's crew on the Mulberry Hill side. EVFD units on location were able to handle the incident so Engine 48 was returned to service. Units worked for about 30 minutes before going available.
