Easton Volunteer Fire Dept. MD

On December 27, 2018, the Easton Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a cardiac arrest, at the Amish Market in Easton.

Along with Easton Police, the Easton Volunteers arrived on scene, began CPR and initiated live saving measures prior to arrival of Paramedics and assisted through the transport of Mr. Jeff Dawson to UMSMC in Easton where he underwent heart catheterization. Thanks to the training and efforts from all involved, Mr. Dawson has made a full recovery.

Along with the commendations received from the Talbot County Council, we recognize Easton Volunteers, Captain Craig McCracken, Bunky Spies, Matt Chapman, Lauren Todd and Cody Lomax, as well as everyone else involved, on a Job Well Done!

Well done!

Great job!!

So thankful for each one of you and your skills. As citizens we take for granted you are here for us, forgetting your long hours of intensive training to be there for us. Love you all!

Way to go!

Well done!

Thank you so very much Matt and crew😍Talbot County is blessed to have your service!

Being in the right place at the right time is probably the single biggest factor in determining survivability during cardiac arrest. The stars must have aligned on this call! Great work by all involved :)

The paramedics being close by also is very helpful. Time is of the essence here. Great job! I went into cardiac arrest back in December, and when I was revived, there was a whole team of professionals around me. It's hard to thank everyone so much. What a superb job these lifesavers do!

Congrats to all involved

Thankful

Awesome
